The Lesbian Reading Group meets the fourth Thursday of each month and focuses on a wide range of topics including, but not limited to, women's physical and mental health, partnering, parenting, dealing with homophobia, self-esteem, and becoming advocates within our communities. During each meeting, we will focus on a theme and discuss related articles, books, or current events (Click here to view past themes and readings). Each month, there will be short readings that everyone is encouraged to read, and then additional readings of interest for those who wish to delve further into the issue. We encourage members of the community to join us for discussion even if they don't have time to read all of the articles or books. Themes are chosen by members of the group. Facilitated by Kristy Lowther. For information, please email lrcreadinggroup@yahoo.com or call The Women's Center at 919-968-4610.
