Individual Financial Counseling
Financial counselors can meet with you to help you with:
· Budgeting, savings, managing your debts, or assessing your financial situation;
· Developing a plan to meet your financial goals;
· Learning about credit, including how to use it wisely, fix errors in your credit history, and what to avoid.

For more information, view the program brochure. Appointments are open to both women and men. To schedule an appointment email the Director of Financial Programs or call (919) 968-4610. You must complete a confidential form before your financial appointment.

Financial counseling sessions are provided on a sliding scale, ranging from $10 to $60 for each session. Prices are based on your annual income.

Homeownership Program

Individual Development Accounts

Want to purchase your first home? Think that it will never happen because your income is too low, you don't know where to start, or you can't save enough money for a down payment? If you live or work in Orange County and would like to purchase your first home in the next two years, you may be eligible to participate in the Orange County IDA Program! Participants save $1000 and receive a $2000 match at the end of of the program to be used towards down payment.

First-time Homebuyer Classes

Please click here to view the series of Homebuyer workshops that will be offered in the Spring of 2008. The Homebuyer Education Program is designed to support and educate homebuyers about the process and responsibilities involved in purchasing, owning and maintaining a home. Participants in the program will learn about the various aspects of homebuying, including: the application process, working with a lender,working with a realtor, mortgage terms, the inspection process, foreclosure prevention and the closing process.
