Foster’s Market Owner Announced as Honorary Chair for The Women's Center’s 22nd Annual Art Show
CHAPEL HILL, N.C. (15 December 2005) – The Women’s Center has announced Sara Foster, owner of Foster’s Market in Chapel Hill and Durham, as its honorary chair for its annual art show and sale, “Through Women’s Eyes, By Women’s Hands.”
Foster will serve as the keynote speaker during the show’s annual Luncheon to be held on Friday, Feb. 24 at The Sheraton Chapel Hill Hotel.
Foster focused her work around something she loves, and its part of what makes her thrive as owner of her two gourmet market-cafes. She advises anyone wanting to create their own company to “start something you are really passionate about.”
Foster also authored two highly revered cookbooks: “The Foster’s Market Cookbook: Favorite Recipes for Morning, Noon and Night” and “Fresh Every Day: More Great Recipes from Foster’s Market.” She is also a regular guest chef for Viking and Williams Sonoma, and Foster is a contributing food editor for “Cottage Living.”
The largest juried art exhibition featuring women artists in North Carolina, “Through Women’s Eyes, By Women’s Hands” will be held Feb. 17-26, 2006, at the Sheraton Chapel Hill Hotel. Forty percent of all proceeds from the art sales will benefit the Women’s Center.
