Top Artists To Exhibit Work in The Women's Center's
20th Annual Art Show Through Women's Eyes, By Women's Hands
February 20-29, 2004

CHAPEL HILL, NC - Top North Carolina artists will exhibit their work in The Women’s Center’s 20th annual Through Women’s Eyes, By Women’s Hands art exhibition and sale. The juried art show, featuring work of women artists from across North Carolina, runs from February 20-29, 2004 at the Sheraton Chapel Hill Hotel.

This year’s pieces include paintings by Kathleen Jardine of Pittsboro and Nancy Tuttle May of Durham; stoneware by MaryLou Higgins of Pittsboro, jewelry by Mary Ann Scherr of Raleigh; raku by Michele Natalie of Chapel Hill; photography by Devlin McNeil of Charlotte; and charcoal by Monika Teal of Asheville.

The Women’s Center received almost 650 entries from which the jurors selected about 185 pieces representing many different media. A full list of exhibitors can be found at www.womenspace.org/artshow/2004.

The Opening Night Preview Party, on Friday, February 20, 7:30 – 10:00 p.m., is the first chance to see the art, meet some of the artists and bid on silent auction items. The Luncheon, on February 27 at noon, will feature award-winning author Lee Smith. Tickets are on sale for both events. The show is free and open to the public from February 21-29.
