THE HONORABLE LIEUTENANT GOVERNOR BEVERLY PERDUE has been a key figure in shaping our state's successful agenda for educational excellence; affordable, accessible healthcare; and sustainable economic prosperity for North Carolina's families. She comes into the second highest elected office in our state having served five terms in the Senate and two terms in the state House of Representatives. She is Chair of the Health and Wellness Trust Fund Commission, serves on the State Board of Education, the State Board of Community Colleges and the Information Resource Management Commission. Lieutenant Governor Perdue holds a Ph.D. in administration and she is putting her years of dedicated public service to work fighting for an improved quality of life for all North Carolinians.
